Each completed document ends with a certificate page: who signed, when, from where, and the digital fingerprint of the original file. Anyone can check that it is authentic.

Do recipients need an account to sign?

No. Recipients open the link from the email (or a link you share yourself) and sign from their phone or laptop. If you need to, you can require them to sign in with the email address you sent it to.

How can a Lookdocu signature be proven?

Every completed document includes a Certificate of Completion and an audit trail, and anyone can check its authenticity on the Verify page. Lookdocu signatures and e-stamps do not yet use a certified electronic certificate from an Indonesian Electronic Certification Provider (PSrE); for documents that require one, use a PSrE service.

Can I upload Word files?

Yes. Word (.docx, .doc), OpenDocument and RTF files become PDFs as they are uploaded, so you can send them for signature, review them or compare them like any PDF.

Does it work with Google Sheets, Google Drive or Notion?

Yes, from Connect in the app. Extract Data results go to Google Sheets, signed documents to a Lookdocu folder in Google Drive, and completed documents become rows in a Notion database. Only the account with the same email as your Lookdocu sign-in can be connected.

What counts as an AI credit?

Only AI work: 1 credit per page read by Extract Data or analyzed by Review Document, 1 per question, 1 for an AI summary of changed versions, 1 per document Classify or Auto-detect finds, and 1 per 10 documents for an analysis or a question across a batch. Document to Data uses credits only for tables the AI has to check. Signatures, automatic checks, Scan to Text, redaction, page organizing and the comparison itself are free. A document over 30 pages is analyzed only after you confirm the credits it uses.

What happens when my storage is full?

You can't upload new documents until space frees up. Documents out for signature can still be completed, and every document can still be downloaded or deleted. Add monthly storage or upgrade your plan anytime.

Are my documents used to train AI?

No. Document content is sent to the AI provider only when you use an AI feature, to process that request, and AI analysis can be turned off per document for confidential files. The details are in our Privacy Policy.

Can we use it from our own systems?

Yes. The Lookdocu API covers signatures, company stamps, document review, data extraction, classification and Document to Data, with webhooks and an OpenAPI spec. Create a token under API Tokens after you sign in.
